New Drug Store finds

While hunting drug stores, I found some fun new displays in Rite Aid. I picked up a couple that I have yet to swatch, but I did snap some [camera phone] pics.

Jesse's Girl - High Intensity Nail Color
- I didn't actually pick up any of these but they did have a few interesting shades. There are neons, some shimmers and a polish that looks like a Charla dupe and also one that looks pretty similar to RBL - Scrangie. (The Charla dupe isn't actually in this pic. They were already snatched up but I know they exist because I saw them in another store.)

Wet n Wild - Fast Dry - This is a set of 9 quick-dry shades. Notice the glitter bomb on the left. (I got that one)

Oke Doke - Here's one I haven't seen before. It's to bad the front row only has the one teal color. Behind that wall of blue there is a purple, gold, red and perhaps one more? I can't remember now. I grabbed the purple to swatch for you.

  1. How come they have the same model in the top 2 brands? Are they the same polishes in the bottles?

  2. I grabbed that blue Oke Doke when I stumbled across it in Rite Aid last week! It has a lovely green flash to it! :) Plus, it was cheap as hell!

  4. I love that glitter Wet N Wild one. Maybe I'll stop by the store today to pick it up. I don't want it to sell out!

  7. I noticed they are using the same model too, I though at first that Elaine was showing us the Jesse's Girl display again but at a different angle. If I remember correctly, didn't this happen before? I think it was Sinful Colors and Zoya that used the same model for their display/promo image sometime last year?

  8. Yes it was. It was Sinful Colors "Colors of Darkness" display for Halloween and Zoya's "Wicked and Wonderful" promo images that used the same model...

Zoya and Sinful, and a closer look at Sinful.

  9. It kind of seems wrong that these nail polish companies use stock images, because what brand nail polish is the model really wearing? It seems like false advertising, doesn't it, or am I just making a mountain out of a molehill?

  10. Why does a brand use stockphoto? Do they really feel that their colors are so average that they can just be photoshopped in?
I remember that Color club did the same with their Enchanted Holiday-display which was identical to Zoya's Fire & Ice.
